    Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and the Friends of the Secrest Arboretum open its second season of Music at the Arboretum on Friday, May 27, 2022, with NEO (North East Ohio) Dixie. Join saxophonist Tom Lempner, trombonist Jimmy Redmond, tuba player Drew Kreiger and percussionist Darren Allen as they bring you these merry melodies and add a “new” (NEO) twist to some of these Dixieland treats.     Never look at a flower the same. Discover different types of flowers and what makes them unique. Time will be spent dissecting various flower types and walking through the collection. Lunch will be provided.

    Guided tree walks have been approved for the first half of the year! Hooray! Monthly tree walks feature all things trees.  A variety of topics will be covered, including proper selection and planting, insect pests and diseases. Please dress for the weather.

    Dr. Dave Lohnes, OARDC's popular Whiz-Bang Scientist, teaches children about science and the natural world in an enriching outdoor environment. The 2021 season features: Amazing Air Pressure and Tales of Tails. Shows are fun for the entire family! Parking and admission are free. The show is cancelled in the event of severe weather.

    Members of the Greater Mohican Audubon Society guided birders of all skill levels. Spot birds, learn their calls and discover their habitats in the arboretum. Parking and admission are free. Please dress for the weather.

    Secrest Garden Fair is honored to carry on the tradition of the Quailcrest Farm Spring Garden Fair—with its new name and location. The event continues to promote handmade crafts, plants, and local food.

Join Canton-based Pat Masalko and Bath-based Jamieson Bowman as they bring you a high-energy evening of classic Irish tunes. Be prepared to tap your feet, clap your hands and dance under the stars.     HYDRANGEAS! There are so many hydrangeas on the market today; knowing which varieties to buy can be overwhelming. Let us eliminate some of the confusion! Presented by Jason Veil and Paul Snyder, this workshop will cover the best hydragea selections for Ohio, and how to grow them. Lunch is included in the cost of registration.
