Fall Nature Journaling with Artist Anna Rose
Learn to Nature Journal by observing, sketching, and painting Secrest Arboretum’s wonderful fall flowers, trees, birds, animals, and gardens with artist Anna Rose. Anna is a current Master’s student at the Ohio State University studying forest ecology. Her love of Ohio’s flora and fauna inspired her to pursue her passion for field sketching and scientific illustration. She has done previous art workshops in Ohio for Audubon, the Ohio State University, the Biggest Week in American Birding, and the Ohio Young Birders Club. Anna is excited to share her artistic journey and passion for field sketching!
We will begin inside going over the basics of field sketching and completing a series of inside demos. If weather permits, a demo on field sketching and painting will be done outside and participants will also be invited to explore the arboretum for their own subjects. Bring pictures of your favorite nature journaling subjects- plants, bugs, animals, and more! Once registered, details and a suggested list of materials for the class to bring will be provided.
