Young Tree Training
Primary tabs
esearch and experience show that proper pruning of young trees will greatly increase their structural health, beauty and longevity. Improper pruning can permanently disfigure a young tree, preventing it from ever becoming a mature specimen. Done at the early stages of a tree’s growth, this pruning can be done quickly and easily without causing damage to the trees.
Learn how to properly prune and train young shade trees in this hands-on field training session. The program will begin with a talk on proper pruning techniques, which limbs to remove and how to remove them. Then the class will move to the field where proper techniques will be demonstrated, followed by supervised pruning where you can try your hand pruning young trees.
