    Did you just move to Wooster and want to know more about Secrest Arboretum, or have you lived here all your life and never visited? Whatever your story, join this guided tour to learn more about ours! Participants will hear about Edmund Secrest and the history of the arboretum, as well as, the stories behind some of our gardens and unique plants.

    HYDRANGEAS! There are so many hydrangeas on the market today; knowing which varieties to buy can be overwhelming. Let us eliminate some of the confusion! Presented by Eric Barret, Jason Veil and Paul Snyder, this workshop will cover the best hydragea selections for Ohio, and how to grow them. Lunch and a hydrangea plant are included in the cost of registration. Additional hydrangeas will also be available for purchase.

    Monthly tree walks feature all things trees!  A variety of topics will be covered, including proper selection and planting, insect pests and diseases. Please dress for the weather. No reservations required.

    The last installment of the Tree I.D. series at Secrest will cover methods for identifying trees by their foliar characteristics (leaves!).

    Paul Syder will guide participants through this hands-on workshop focused on summer grafting of tree species.  Participants have the opportunity to practice making grafts and take home their plants. Rootstock and scion will be provided. Pre-registration is required.
