News Flash: The Secrest Master Gardeners will host the 2025 OSU Master Gardener Conference on October 9th and 10th, 2025. The conference will feature the latest horticultural research, diagnostic training, and the opportunity for Master Gardeners to liaise with fellow Master Gardeners from around the state. Tours of Secrest will be a highlight of the conference, and Secrest's own Jason Veil and Paul Snyder will be presenters.
December 5 (Thursday) – Master Gardener Gathering, 11 am – 1 pm, Barnhart Rice Homestead
December 14 – Guided Bird Walk, 9 am – 11 am, Secrest Welcome Center, Contact Brenda Meese at blmeese@mac.com for more information.
January 15 – Applications for the Master Gardener training course are due. Contact Paul Snyder at snyder.1062@osu.edu for more information.
January 21 – The Plants of Japan, 9 am – 12 pm Jason Veil presenting
January 23 – Winter Grafting Workshop, 8 am – 12 pm
February 7 – Witchhazel Discovery, 1 pm – 3:30 pm
February 20 – The Conifers of Secrest Arboretum, 9 am – 3 pm
February 26 – Master Gardener training course begins, 9 am – 3 pm. Classes continue each Wednesday through May 7.
