New for 2026: The Garden Shed Sale!
We’re excited to introduce the Garden Shed Sale, a must-visit destination for gardening enthusiasts. While we won’t be selling actual sheds, we will be offering all the treasures you might find inside them—and more!
The Garden Fair Planning Committee is currently seeking donations of:
- Indoor or outdoor pottery
- Garden statuary
- New or gently used small hand tools
- Garden books
- Garden-themed décor (indoor or outdoor)
- Other garden- or plant-related items
Please ensure all donated items are clean and in good working condition.
Donation Drop-Off Details
Donations will be accepted at the Secrest Welcome Center, Nationwide Orientation Space (Room 140), on the following dates:
- March 13 | 1:00–2:00 PM (Spring MGV Gathering Event)
- April 11 | 11:00 AM–1:00 PM
- May 9 | 9:00–11:00 AM (Spring Plant Discovery Days Event)
Now is the perfect time to clean out your shed or closet! All proceeds from the Shed Sale benefit the Friends of Secrest Arboretum. Please note that any unsold items will be donated to a local thrift store or charity and will not be returned. No matter what, your donation supports the community.

Plant Sale Contributions Welcome
It’s also time to start planning potted plant donations for the Garden Fair. Contributions directly support Secrest’s many initiatives. The plant sale includes perennials, herbs, annuals, houseplants, shrubs, small trees, and creative plant-container combinations.
Be sure to mark your calendar for June 13! Whether you’re hunting for a Garden Shed Sale treasure, discovering a unique garden art piece, finding your next favorite plant, or simply enjoying the Arboretum, the Secrest Garden Fair offers something for everyone.
